The two times I’ve been to Garlic Clove, I’ve been very happy. First of all, you get 2 hours’ free car parking at Barracks. Secondly, it’s a very convenient location to eat before doing the shopping at Coles across the road. The food is well presented and enjoyable. On one occasion, I had a meat lovers pizza which had a crispy crust and fresh toppings. Another time, I had the lamb shank which was lovely and tender and came with mashed potatoes and red wine jus. Comfort food at its finest! I also had the crème brulee, and theirs is very good with excellent, crackly sugar on top.I feel like not enough people know about Garlic Clove or maybe they pass by it on their way to other venues, but I would encourage you to give it a try. It has an unexpected menu, part Asian, part Italian, part Aussie staples, which means you can go in a group and everyone will find something they like. I might go for the ribs next time. They also have bao buns and oysters and although I don’t drink, it looks like there’s a pretty comprehensive drinks menu.

We visited the new establishment for a preview and left thoroughly impressed. The ambiance was serene and inviting, complemented by an exceptional meal. We shared a full rack of ribs, which proved more than ample for two. Moreover, the service was impeccable, with the attendant displaying remarkable kindness. We would certainly return.🥂

Visited on valentines day and had a pretty nice dining experience. Place was quiet so atmosphere was a bit dead but on the plus side we were well attended to by the two staff front of house who looked after us all night, I can only really fault that we weren’t offered drinks nearly as often as I’d have liked so had to proactively get up and ask twice.Cocktails were great, food was perfectly fine middle of the road dining nothing too exceptional.We had a bit of difficulty with a query about allergens as my partner has coeliac disease so we had to scrutinise whether the steak and its sauces (which had no allergen info on the menu unlike everything else) was gluten free or not.Also to whoever is putting the shockingly bad AI images at the back of the menu and front and centre of your advertising: pack it in, pay a real photographer to take some real photos of your food rather than asking a robot to make what it thinks pizza looks like.
We came for a look of the new place and left very satisfied. Nice, tranquil atmosphere and great meal, we had a full rack of ribs to share which was more than enough for two people. Also the person serving was very kind. We would come back.
